Relay for Life KL 2011

Most of us know about the deadly existence of cancer, but do you know every hour almost 5 people are diagnosed with cancer? Every year this fatal sickness has affected 11 million people worldwide and about 40,000 new cases alone in Malaysia.

If you know someone who is affected and you want to fight against it, but do not know how, fret not. The National Cancer Society of Malaysia would like to invite YOU to join the fight against cancer through the Relay for Life KL 2011. With the aim to share and instill the spirit of charity among the younger generation, this will be the perfect time when people you know and you do not know group up to raise public awareness about cancer in the whole community.

Details of the event are:

Date: 16 July 2011 (Saturday)
Time: 4.00 pm – 10.00 am (next day)
Venue: Stadium UKM, Bangi, Selangor 

 It will be a 16-hour walk from dusk till dawn that you will never forget where throughout the whole walk, individuals, survivors, teams, companies and schools involved will take turns to walk the track to relay the message of cancer. Also, expect a lot on-going entertainment, fun activities, food bazaar and performances as well!

Together we make a meaningful difference by joining this relay. Waste no more time, and put on your running shoes and help to change and celebrate the lives of the cancer survivors this weekend. Let’s all join force and unite together for this worthy cause.
